DESCRIPTION:Since 2016\, the UK Kwekwe Group has been dedicated to preservi
 ng and sharing the rich cultural heritage of Guyana—particularly the trad
 itional Kwe Kwe\, a pre-nuptial ritual rooted in African Guyanese history\
 , and is similar to the Ghanaian knocking or kokoo ko ceremony. This unique
  practice brings communities together through storytelling\, music\, dance\
 , and symbolic customs that prepare a couple for married life while celebra
 ting unity\, ancestry\, and joy. What to Expect: • A lively reenactment 
 of the Kwe Kwe ritual\, with opportunities for audience participation • T
 he rhythms of live drumming and traditional folk songs • A taste of ho
 me with delicious Creole Guyanese cuisine\, usually served at kwe kwe cer
 emonies and for celebrating Emancipation. • A warm\, welcoming atmosphere
  filled with culture\, lively music and dancing\, a reminder of importance
